1% for the Planet is a global movement of companies donating at least 1% of their annual net revenues to organizations of their choice. We are proud members and donate 1% of our profits right back into the Lake Tahoe Basin. We are currently giving back to Podunk Trails, Tahoe Rim Trail Association, Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful, and the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association.
High Fives Non-Profit Foundation, based in Truckee, CA, became an official non-profit on January 19, 2010. Founded by Roy Tuscany, the Tahoe-based organization is dedicated to raising money and awareness for athletes that have suffered a life-altering injury while pursuing their dream in the winter action sports community.
The Tahoe Rim Trail Association is a volunteer, non-profit organization established in 1981 to plan, construct and maintain the Tahoe Rim Trail. This 165-mile, twenty-four inch, single-track trail is open to hiking, equestrians and mountain biking (in most areas). The trail encompasses the ridge tops of the Lake Tahoe Basin, crossing six counties and two states.
Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful is a non-profit dedicated to creating a cleaner, more beautiful region through education and active community involvement.
The Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association (TAMBA) is dedicated to the stewardship of sustainable, multiple-use trails and to preserving access for mountain bikers through advocacy, education and promotion of responsible trail use. TAMBA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Disabled Sports USA Far West leads the way in adaptive sports and recreation for people with disabilities, guiding them in discovering life without limits. Disabled Sports is dedicated to the belief that sports are a vital part of the process in which disabled individuals gain self-confidence, mobility, and greater independence.
B4BC (Boarding for Breast Cancer) is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation dedicated to providing education, prevention and support programs for young people and the action sports community at large. Since 1984 Friends of Nevada Wilderness has successfully led efforts to protect over 3 million acres of Wilderness – Nevada’s wild heritage. The organization is dedicated to preserving all qualified Nevada public lands as wilderness, protecting all present and potential wilderness from ongoing threats, informing the public about the values of and need for wilderness, and restoring and improving the management of wild lands.
