Why Non GMO Energy Bars?
A growing body of evidence connects GMOs with health problems, environmental damage, and violation of farmers’ and consumers’ rights. More than 60 countries around the world – including Australia, Japan, and all of the countries in the European Union – require GMOs to be labeled. Globally, there are also 300 regions with outright bans on growing GMOs.
In the absence of credible independent long-term feeding studies, the safety of GMOs is unknown. Increasingly, people are taking matters into their own hands and choosing purchase foods that they know to be non GMO.
Why Tahoe Trail Bar?
By ingredients, Tahoe Trail Bars are dairy-free / non-dairy, egg-free, gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian. These bars are built for energy, with 220 to 260 calories, 12 to 15 grams of sugars (7 to 12 added grams), 7 to 10 grams of fat, 5 to 10 grams of protein, and 2 to 4 grams of fiber. It’s the kind of fuel you want when hitting the slopes or out on a hike.

Our Story
This bar was crafted in a coffee shop on the southern shores of Lake Tahoe. The original recipe is still what we hang our hat on today: chocolate chunks and peanut butter. No mush, just wholesome ingredients that you can taste and pronounce.
The local community fell in love with our bar for two simple reasons:

Currently we are on shelves in Northern California Whole Foods Markets, Raley’s, Bel Air & Nob Hill Grocery Stores, and Nugget Markets. Additional placements include co-ops and natural foods stores on the West Coast.
